Mr. Linden’s Library He had warned her about the book. Now it was too late. Sophie, a 13 year old girl, went to Mr. Linden’s library. She enjoys reading very much, but she’s very rude and obnoxious. She was selecting a book and noticed a very unusual book. It looked more interesting than the rest. She picked it up and didn’t bother to read the back. She ran over to Mr. Linden and asked to check it out. Mr. Linden looked at the book and inspected it. He warned her about what lies beneath the cover. He had seen Marquin put a spell on it. You see, Marquin is a sorcerer, and had accidently put a spell on the book. Sophie didn’t care or listen to him and checked it out any way. Later on that day she went home and started reading the book. She was so interested in the book she didn’t even stop to eat. It was almost as if she could reach into the book and pull characters out. It was late Sunday night and she fell asleep with the book by her side. While she was asleep the book’s characters started coming to life. Sophie heard whispering and woke up. She suspiciously looked around her room and found nothing. She convinced herself that nothing was there and fell back to sleep. The next morning she reached into her book bag and screamed. There was an ugly little 1foot tall troll in her book bag. While she was freaking out the ugly little troll said “Hello there my name is Wilson and I am the head troll of all of thy homey trolls.” “The disgusting little thing talks too!” said Sophie “Mom!” then a sudden silence and with a blink of her eye all of the homey trolls were coming after her. Wilson jumped on her face and said “Silence! Hold thy tongue or else.” Wilson was holding a tiny little thumb tack at her face. “Were did you get that” Sophie questioned. “I found thy weapon in thy royal back pack.”There was a moment of silence before Sophie replied.”Well where did you come from?”Sophie asked. ” I come from thy great kingdom of Tiopoia. Have you heard of it?” Sophie darted to her bed table and picked up the book. “Well of course I have she said. Tiopoia is the place in my book! But…But how could this be?”Said Sophie.” Sophie. Come on sweetheart, it is time to go to school. Come fast or else you are going to miss your bus.” Said Sophie’s Mom. “Mommy “said Sophie.”I don’t feel good. Could I please stay home today? Pretty, pretty please mommy.”“No Sophie you need to go to school it is part of your education.” “But mom your ruining my life!”“Fine Sophie you can stay home but only if your okay with staying by yourself.” “I’m Fine with it mom.”Soon her Mom left and she was alone with the trolls. “How did you guys get out of the book?” Sophie questioned. “Dear lady Sophie thou have no idea.” Sophie was puzzled and confused. “This is what Mr. Linden must have told me about” Sophie said to herself. “There must be something in the book that would tell us how to get you guys back in.” Sophie ran to her book to check if there were any clues in the book. After observing the book she found no clues, so she decided to go to Mr. Linden’s Library to question him. Sophie packed up all of her stuff and the trolls and biked over to Mr. Linden’s Library. “Mr. Linden! Mr. Linden! You were right! The book really comes to life. There is like some kind of spell on it or something.
